Pyer Moss is Named CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Winner

10 Corso Como New York celebrates the best of emerging American designers with an exclusive CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund pop up. The fund created to support emerging design talent is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. The milestone based design competition impressively culminates with a grand prize of $400,000 for the winner and $150,000 to the two runners-up. For the last competition of the program held at the Whitney Museum of Art finalists were asked to create a look inspired by an American artist. These one-of-a-kind looks, many handmade are exclusively on display at 10 Corso Como New York. All designs are available to purchase or pre order through November 19th.

You may have heard of past winners as they have grown into the top tiers of the fashion industry. Proenza Schouler took home the top prize 15 years ago in the Fund’s inaugural year. Other winners include Alexander Wang, Rodarte, Altuzarra, and Thom Browne to name a few. This year the finalists included Batsheva, Bode, Christian Cowan, Hunting Season, Jonathan Cohen, Luar, Matthew Adams Dolan, Pyer Moss, Rebecca de Ravenel, Scosha. The designers’ work encompasses a wide range of specialities from womenswear to menswear to accessory design. Tonight, Pyer Moss was announced as the top winner with Bode and Jonathan Cohen named as runner ups. 10 Corso Como New York is a proud stockist of Pyer Moss and is one of three retailers that carries the exclusive Pyer Moss x Reebok collection. (Read our interview with Kerby Jean-Raymond here.) We recommend taking note of these fast on-the-rise designers.

Congratulations to winner Pyer Moss, runners up Bode and Jonathan Cohen, and all of the other short-listed designers.
