Boo Oh,
The Sleek Accessories Line for Dogs

Seoul, South Korea-born, Seattle-based artist and industrial designer, Jay Sae Jung Oh, is launching a new high end dog accessories line, Boo Oh, named after the designer’s dog, that both pooches and their owners will love. 10 Corso Como New York is partnering with Oh and hosting an in-store event in honor of Boo Oh’s launch. Oh, who is the founder and designer will be in attendance to introduce her first collection which includes: the Lumi Leash and Collar, the Ray Harness, and the Toto Bag.

Boo Oh’s sleek contemporary look and durable design sets the brand apart from others in the pet accessories sphere, an industry that Oh notes is now much more crowded than it was in 2013 when her boyfriend at the time, now husband, gifted her their dog, Boo. Oh remembers early on when Boo was an energetic puppy, leashes would hardly last a season in their home, and it was hard, nearly impossible to find strong, long-lasting products. Oh also remembers the years she spent frantically hiding all of their miscellaneous pet gear sprawled around the house before company would arrive. These were the reasons that sparked Oh’s impetus to create a product that was both stronger and more visually appealing than anything else on the market. Luckily for Oh, she was more than qualified, having an illustrious career as an industrial designer.

After completing her studies in sculpture and 3D design, Oh worked with NYC-based, Italian designer Gaetano Pesce on a range of projects from furniture, installations, and product design. She also taught Industrial Design at The University of Illinois at Chicago in the school’s undergraduate and master’s programs counting production and material methodology as her specialties. Oh has also amassed a high profile clientele that counts Celine Dion, the Cranbrook Art Museum, and Salon 94 Design gallery as clients.

Oh brings her years of professional training and sophisticated honed eye to Boo Oh where she values durability, sleek style, and attention to details above all else. She uses the highest quality of materials for her pieces. The Lumi Leash and Lumi Collar are made from 100 percent vegetable-dyed Italian Buttero leather. The Ray Harness is constructed of a single piece of padded interwoven synthetic silk fiber rope and a series of Buttero leather details. Oh mentions that her pieces have such a contemporary, sculptural edge that they double as home accessories. Now, Oh proudly hangs Boo Oh’s accessories on the wall, for all visitors to see.

Bring your dog along for Boo Oh’s launch at 10 Corso Como New York on Sunday, December 2nd, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00pm. There will be gourmet treats for you and your furry friend. As a special treat, the first 50 customers who purchase a Lumi Leash or a Ray Harness during event hours will receive a complimentary Toto Bag. The Toto Bag is Boo Oh’s signature full-grain leather waste bag carrier that is perfect for storing either waste bags or personal essentials while on the go with your pet.
